SmarterSends, a distributed marketing platform, announced two features for Braze customers on September 15, 2026.
What was launched
- Two-Way SMS routes customer replies directly into Braze customer profiles in real time, so local teams can respond. It brings the supported channels to five: email, SMS, push, in-app and two-way SMS.
- One-Click Retargeting lets local operators re-engage existing contacts without building new audiences, addressing the gap in outbound-only orchestration.
The target users are franchisees, financial advisors, regional bank branches and field-level marketers working within corporate compliance frameworks. SmarterSends says integration takes about 15 minutes at no cost and that it is SOC 2 Type II certified. Co-founder Sam Lewis says the launches “solve opposite ends of the same problem.” The company planned to show them at Braze’s FORGE 2026.
Our read
Large brands often have a central team that sends and local staff who get the replies. Routing replies into the same profile keeps the record in one place. The compliance angle deserves attention: local replies in regulated sectors need approved wording and consent tracking, so confirm how the tool records both before enabling it. The release gives no customer results.
