This page explains how MarTech Roundup decides what to publish, how it sources claims, when it uses AI, and how it labels paid content.
Sourcing
- Every article lists its sources and links to them. We cite primary sources where we can: company announcements, regulatory filings and official documentation.
- We say when a figure came from a vendor, from a filing or from a news report, and we do not repeat a figure we could not confirm.
- When a source was not available to us, we say so and leave out what it would have supported.
- We do not use fabricated quotations, invented sources or unnamed “experts”.
Vendor claims and our own view
Statements such as “customers saw 75% faster campaign creation” are attributed to the company that made them. Where we add our own opinion or advice, we label it, for example “Our read” or “Editorial guidance”. Impact ratings and “what to watch” notes are editorial judgments.
Use of AI
AI tools are used to research and draft some of our articles. When that is the case, the article carries a visible disclosure. A disclosure that says an article has not had an independent human edit means exactly that. We do not present AI-generated work as human reporting, and we do not use AI-generated images as if they were photographs of real events.
Images
Images are photographs and graphics used under free licences, with the credit and licence shown beneath the image. Images illustrate a theme and do not show the companies or people named in an article unless the credit says so.
Corrections
If we get something wrong we correct it and add a public correction note to the article. A dedicated corrections contact will be listed on this page when it is available.
Sponsored content and advertising
- Sponsored content is always labelled “Sponsored”, with the sponsor named.
- Advertisements are labelled “Advertisement” or “Sponsored”, and their links are marked as sponsored.
- Advertising is kept apart from editorial. Sponsored placements are not presented as news.
