InMobi released “Ready, Set, Agent” on October 5, 2026, a free diagnostic that checks whether an ecommerce storefront is ready for AI agents, according to MarTech Cube.

How it works

The scanner runs 80 live technical checks across 11 categories: product discoverability, catalog comprehension, cart, checkout and payment completion. Each scan gives an overall readiness score, category results and findings from all 80 probes. It needs no login.

What InMobi found

InMobi analysed about 3 million US ecommerce storefronts:

  • 36% are fully agent-ready (its “Superagent” tier).
  • 15% support transactions but have gaps in discovery.
  • 12% let agents read the catalog but lack a complete purchase path.
  • 37% were not scored because they run on platforms InMobi has not yet scanned.

During beta, retailers ran more than 8,600 on-demand scans. CEO Abhay Singhal: “Agentic commerce is becoming a new distribution layer for retail, and the advantage will grow for the retailers that start learning to operate in it early.”

Our read

The categories are the useful part. They show the chain an agent must complete: find the product, understand it, put it in a cart, pay. A store that fails at the first step never gets to the last. The score is InMobi’s design, and more than a third of sites were not scored, so the 36% is not a clean market figure. Run the scan on your store, fix product data first, then checkout.
