Amplitude says it helps teams understand user behavior, identify improvements, act on insights and measure results through analytics, feedback, experimentation and code integration. Its chief executive is Spenser Skates, and it is headquartered in San Francisco and listed on Nasdaq as AMPL.

Listing

Amplitude became a public company on September 28, 2021 through a direct listing, not a traditional offering. Wikipedia reports that it chose that route partly because it had about $300 million in cash and did not need to raise money.

Products named on its site

  • Product Analytics and Marketing Analytics.
  • Session Replay, Heatmaps, Guides and Surveys.
  • Feature Experimentation, Web Experimentation and Feature Management.
  • Activation, Data Governance, and newer products it calls Agents and Agent Analytics.

The company says it has more than 700 employees and more than 5,200 customers, including 30 of the Fortune 100. Sources disagree on the founding year (its site says 2012, Wikipedia says 2014), so none is stated here.
