- Moderate
On September 30, 2026, Yext signed a definitive agreement to acquire Flamel.ai. The news was announced around Yext’s Envision event.
The deal
- Yext expects it to close in its fiscal fourth quarter of 2027, which ends January 31, 2027, and says it will fund the purchase with cash.
- The price was not disclosed.
- Flamel.ai runs localized paid campaigns across Google, Meta and ChatGPT. Paul Ehlinger is its founder and chief executive; Michael Walrath is Yext’s chairman and chief executive.
Where it fits
Yext describes its direction as an agentic marketing platform. The announcement refers to Yext Scout and to a “multiplayer agent harness” in which several agents work together. Adding paid media links two things that multi-location brands usually manage separately: how their locations show up in organic and AI search, and the paid campaigns that promote them.
Why it matters
A vendor that can already place local campaigns inside ChatGPT's new ad channel has an early position there. For brands with many locations, the test is whether one system can manage both listing accuracy and paid spend.
What happened next
The deal was conditional and had not closed in the sources we reviewed; Yext expects it by January 31, 2027.
