On September 9, 2026, at its K:BOS event in Boston, Klaviyo announced that marketers and AI agents can use its platform through more than 260 Model Context Protocol (MCP) tools and capabilities and more than 490 APIs. Co-founder and co-CEO Andrew Bialecki said: “That’s what separates real infrastructure from a walled garden.”

What was announced

  • SQL: a plain-language query feature in the Klaviyo Data Platform, in preview through Composer and MCP. It covers profiles, events, segments, lists and catalogs; forms, flows and custom objects are “coming soon”. Answers carry verifiable citations. No general-availability date was stated.
  • Personalization: the new name for Marketing Analytics. Klaviyo says specialized models decide whom to reach, what to show and when and where, in real time, and share context across channels.
  • Composer: used by more than 138,000 Klaviyo users, with new scheduled tasks, saved “Skills” and in-Composer segment editing. It is the first feature of a new Klaviyo mobile app, in preview.
  • Customer Agent: Klaviyo says it has exchanged more than 1.3 million messages and supports more than 100 languages. Voice is “coming soon”, with no date.

Company figures

Klaviyo reports more than 4 billion signals processed per day, more than 205,000 paying customers and more than 350 integrations. It did not state customer performance results.

Why it matters

Opening a platform to outside AI tools makes it a data source and an action layer for whichever agent a team prefers. Before connecting one, decide what it may change: sending a message is a different risk from reading a report. SQL answers should be treated as drafts until checked against a trusted report.

What happened next

Several features were in preview or "coming soon" at the announcement, with no dates given. Check Klaviyo's own documentation for what is available on your plan.
