What to watch
General availability of SQL and the semantic layer Klaviyo says it plans.

Klaviyo announced at its annual customer conference on September 9, 2026 that its platform is accessible through more than 260 Model Context Protocol (MCP) tools and 490+ APIs, usable from Claude, ChatGPT or other AI systems teams already use, according to TheOutpost.ai citing Investing.com. The article calls this a “headless architecture”.

What was announced

  • Plain-language SQL in the Klaviyo Data Platform: a question is converted to SQL, run on the brand’s data and returned with the query that produced it. It currently covers profiles, events, segments, lists and catalogs (forms, flows and custom objects are “coming soon”) and is in preview via Composer and MCP. Brands can add definitions for metrics.
  • Personalization: Marketing Analytics was renamed and consolidated into a single platform layer, with models deciding targeting, content and timing in real time.
  • Composer (138,000+ users) gained SQL access, task scheduling and saved workflows called Skills, and is the first feature in a new mobile app.
  • Customer Agent: 1.3M+ messages processed, 100+ languages.
  • Customer Hub adds web personalization; “Clicks to Bricks” for targeting shoppers near physical locations is in preview; a Compliance Hub is planned.

Company metrics

Klaviyo reports 4B+ signals processed daily, 205,000+ paying customers and 350+ integrations.

Our read

Treat SQL answers as a draft until you have checked them against a trusted report. And before you connect an AI tool, decide what it may change: sending is a different risk from reading.
