Google announced on October 13, 2026 that the Gemini app now offers Gemini 4 Argon to Google AI Pro and Ultra subscribers and adds a tasks mode, according to PPC Land.
What was announced
- A toggle in the main chat window, “a simple toggle from chat to tasks”, lets Gemini keep working when the user is away from their computer.
- Gemini connects to “more than 40 apps”, including Instacart, OpenTable, Adobe and Shopify. PPC Land counted 41 apps on Google’s help page in August and 14 added in September, so the figure is unreconciled.
- Antigravity, Google’s agentic coding interface, is now in the Gemini macOS app. No Windows timeline was given.
Pricing context
From earlier Google documentation: AI Plus $4.99 a month, AI Pro $19.99, AI Ultra $99.99 or $199.99. Free accounts were reportedly limited to Flash-Lite from October 9.
Not stated
Access for free, AI Plus and Workspace accounts, usage limits, country availability including the EEA and UK, how tasks run and what permissions they need, whether the Shopify integration serves merchants or shoppers, and how long outputs are stored.
Our read
Treat this as another step toward consumer agents. The key marketing question is how those agents choose and buy, which Google has not explained.
