  • Scans start automatically when a post enters Pending status, and an "AI Score" column appears in the WordPress post list.
  • Administrators can control score visibility, detection sensitivity and rule bypass by user role; existing pages can be scanned retroactively.
  • Copyleaks claims detection "with over 99% accuracy", a web index of 60 trillion pages and "450+ global enterprises".
  • No plugin price is published; individual plans start at $13.99 a month, but the plugin is not listed among their features.

Copyleaks, a New York-based AI detection firm, announced Content Guard on October 14, 2026, a WordPress integration that checks drafts for AI-generated text and plagiarism before publication. CEO Alon Yamin provided the launch quote. PPC Land reported on it.

How it works

  • Scans start automatically when a post enters Pending status.
  • An “AI Score” column appears in the WordPress post list.
  • Administrators can control score visibility, detection sensitivity and rule bypass by user role.
  • Existing pages can be scanned retroactively; setup is described as taking 15 minutes.
  • Other CMS integrations are planned but undated; other platforms can use a headless API.

Vendor claims (unverified)

AI detection “with over 99% accuracy” with no methodology or false positive rate, a web index of 60 trillion pages, and “trusted by 450+ global enterprises”.

Pricing

No plugin price is published. Individual plans, billed annually: Personal $13.99 a month (1,200 credits) and Pro $74.99 a month (12,000 credits, 25 seats). The WordPress plugin is not listed among Individual plan features.

Not stated

Whether flagged drafts can be blocked or only scored, data retention and opt-out from the shared data hub, how licensed syndicated content is distinguished from copying, and any independent accuracy testing.

Our read

Detectors produce false positives. Use the score to start a human review and keep the review record.
