On April 14, 2026, HubSpot used its Spring 2026 Spotlight to launch HubSpot AEO, new AI agents and Smart Deal Progression, as part of more than 100 updates.
What was launched
- HubSpot AEO tracks a brand’s visibility in answers from ChatGPT, Gemini and Perplexity, using prompts drawn from CRM data. It is included in Marketing Hub Professional and Enterprise, or costs $50 a month on its own.
- Prospecting Agent: a 28-day trial, then $1 for each recommended lead.
- Customer Agent: $0.50 per resolution. HubSpot reports that it resolved 50% more tickets, 29% faster, with about 70% resolved independently.
The traffic claim
HubSpot said organic traffic for its customers fell 27% year over year while traffic referred from AI tools tripled. This is data from HubSpot’s own customer base.
Why it matters
It brought two ideas into a mainstream mid-market suite at once: pricing AI by the outcome it delivers, and measuring visibility in AI answers without buying a separate tool. Both lower the barrier for small teams and put pressure on specialist vendors.
What happened next
Competing suites and start-ups launched similar tracking and agents in the following months (see the Adobe, Sitecore and Salesforce entries).
