On October 5, 2026, at Advertising Week New York, TikTok announced that the TikTok Ad Network (TTAN), formerly known as Pangle, is available to advertisers in the United States for the first time. Marketing Dive reports that it reaches about 400,000 third-party apps worldwide and sits inside the existing TikTok Ads Manager, with brand safety and placement controls. Integral Ad Science provides measurement of viewability, invalid traffic and brand safety.

Other announcements

  • Buy Direct lets people buy a product they see in the feed without leaving TikTok, and a Shopping Assistant is a conversational assistant covering product details, shipping and sizing. Agentic Leads captures and converts prospects in direct messages and through lead forms on advertisers’ websites. Marketing Dive says availability for these was not stated.
  • GMV Max, which shifts spend toward well-performing content on TikTok Shop, will account for affiliate commissions, coupons and referral fees.
  • TikTok’s MCP server, launched in May, connects advertisers’ own AI tools to its ads systems and links to Claude, Kimi, Manus, Perplexity and Snowflake, among others.

Figures to read with care

TikTok cites a report by PF Global that it commissioned, saying TikTok contributed $81 billion to US business GDP in 2025 and that 54 million US consumers bought a product after watching a TikTok video. Pricing for TTAN was not stated.

Why it matters

Third-party app inventory behaves differently from in-feed placements. Keeping TTAN in a separate campaign, and looking at invalid traffic and conversion quality before scaling, would show what it adds. The shopping and lead tools were announced without dates, so they are plans for now, not features to budget around.

What happened next

TikTok gave no launch dates for Buy Direct, the Shopping Assistant or Agentic Leads in the sources reviewed.
