Outcome pricing shifts risk to the vendor, but depends on how a resolution or qualified lead is defined.

What to watch
Whether other agents move to outcome pricing, and customers' real cost per outcome.

HubSpot moved two of its Breeze agents to outcome-based pricing starting April 14, 2026, according to CX Today.

The prices

  • Breeze Customer Agent: $0.50 per resolved conversation. It was previously $1.00 per conversation.
  • Breeze Prospecting Agent: $1 per qualified lead recommended for outreach. It previously carried a monthly charge based on contacts enrolled.

HubSpot’s figures

Across more than 8,000 customers the Customer Agent resolves 65% of conversations and cuts resolution time by 39%. For the Prospecting Agent, HubSpot reports a 57% quarter-over-quarter rise in activation and 10% higher close rates among more than 10,000 customers. HubSpot says: “We believe AI should be priced on the value it delivers, not the compute it consumes.”

Context and caution

Zendesk pioneered the approach in mid-2024; Salesforce has adjusted Agentforce pricing several times. Crescendo CEO Matt Price says outcome pricing became viable because measurement improved, but warns that resolution rates alone do not show customer satisfaction or reduced friction.

Our read

Paying only for results is attractive, and it moves the argument to definitions. A “resolved” conversation might mean the customer stopped replying. A “qualified lead” might meet a loose test. Ask HubSpot for the exact wording, how disputes work and what happens when a customer returns after a resolution. The usage figures are HubSpot’s own.
