Barry Schwartz reported on October 9, 2026 that Google redesigned the Reader Revenue Manager homepage. The page now lists AI Mode, AI Overviews and Gemini, adds a matrix and reorders content.

What changed

  • The old page described a “From Your Subscriptions” panel on Google Search, Discover and News. The new page says content can appear under a “From your subscriptions” label on Google Search, AI Mode, AI Overviews and Gemini.
  • A new Advanced features section lists 5-Step Pricing, From your subscriptions, Metered Read, Bundles, Subscription Linking, customisable payment reminder emails, first-party surveys, Rewarded Ads, Registration Wall, Newsletter Signup, Cancellation Survey and CTA customisation.

The product

Reader Revenue Manager helps publishers without an existing membership model add subscription or contribution options on desktop and mobile, and supports engagement and retention through newsletter sign-ups, surveys and reader registration.

Our read

This is a documentation change, not a launch we can test. For subscription publishers the question is whether subscribers’ content now appears in AI answers; check with a logged-in account and keep an eye on any follow-up announcement from Google.
