In 60 seconds

  • Advertisers can sync Microsoft Advertising performance data into HubSpot and send HubSpot lifecycle-stage events such as MQLs and SQLs so bidding optimises toward those outcomes.
  • Up to 10,000 companies can be uploaded to a targeting or exclusion list; lists take one to two days to process.
  • PPC News Feed reported a 1,000-company limit per ad group, which PPC Land could not reconcile.
  • HubSpot conversions fire only for stage changes after the event is created; there is no backfill.

Why it matters

Test with one lifecycle event, and check how Microsoft's conversions compare with HubSpot's, since the two may be calculated differently.
Business impact
Low From PPC Land's summary of Microsoft's newsletter. HubSpot's claims (42% lower CPC, 64% higher conversion, 15 to 25% more qualified leads) come from Microsoft internal 2026 data with no sample size or comparison set.

PPC Land’s October 6, 2026 summary of Microsoft Advertising’s monthly product newsletter covers two B2B features.

HubSpot integration

  • Advertisers can sync Microsoft Advertising performance data, including conversions, into HubSpot.
  • They can send custom HubSpot lifecycle-stage events, such as MQLs and SQLs, so Microsoft’s bidding optimises toward those outcomes, and re-engage CRM contacts across Microsoft’s ecosystem by lifecycle stage.
  • Setup needs Publisher access in HubSpot and Super Admin rights in the Microsoft account. A conversion fires when a contact reaches the chosen stage; only changes after the event is created count, with no backfill, and Microsoft may calculate conversions differently from HubSpot.

LinkedIn company lists

  • Up to 10,000 companies per targeting or exclusion list, at campaign creation or in the Audience library, with 1 to 2 days of processing.
  • Company lists act as “or” with other LinkedIn targeting and “and” with devices, locations or content targeting.
  • The newsletter states no per-ad-group ceiling; PPC News Feed reported 1,000 per ad group from a Microsoft help page. PPC Land says the two were not reconciled.

Claims without data

HubSpot’s cited figures (about 42% lower cost per click, about 64% higher conversion rate, 15 to 25% more qualified leads) come from Microsoft internal 2026 data, with no sample size, comparison set or time window.

Our read

Feeding pipeline stages back to the bidder is the useful part. Start with one stage and watch the difference between Microsoft’s and HubSpot’s counts before you scale.
