  • The planner projects reach, impressions and costs before purchase; the optimization score rates campaigns 0 to 100%; budget optimization shifts spend between ad groups automatically.
  • Reddit says campaigns scoring 80%+ had 19.6% lower blended CPA, and each 5-point score increase was associated with 4.4% lower blended CPA.
  • Traffic-objective advertisers using budget optimization saw 10% lower CPC.
  • Budget optimization is available now, but Sales, Lead generation and App promotion objectives are still in beta.

What changed
Reddit is adding planning and automation tools aimed at advertisers who build campaigns without an agency.
Why it matters
A campaign score is only useful if it predicts results, and Reddit's figures are correlations from its own data.

What to watch
Beta objectives reaching general availability and independent results.

On October 20, 2026 Reddit announced three tools for its Ads Manager in a Reddit for Business post signed by Sirena Jenks, Preston Landers and Jenna Little, according to PPC Land.

The tools

  • A campaign planner that projects reach, impressions and costs before purchase.
  • A campaign optimization score that rates each campaign from 0 to 100%.
  • Campaign budget optimization that shifts spend between ad groups automatically.

Reddit’s figures

  • Campaigns scoring 80% or higher had 19.6% lower blended cost per acquisition.
  • Each 5-point score increase was associated with 4.4% lower blended CPA.
  • Traffic-objective advertisers using budget optimization saw 10% lower cost per click.

Availability

The planner and score roll out to all advertisers through October. Budget optimization is available now, but Sales, Lead generation and App promotion are still in beta, leaving three of five objectives in beta.

Not stated

The methodology footnotes were not visible, so the measurement period, sample and markets cannot be checked. Reddit does not define “blended CPA”, name the comparison group or say whether the score causes the lower CPA, and does not explain how planner projections are calculated.

Our read

A score linked to better results is a useful signal, not a guarantee. Validate it on your own campaigns.
