Shopify Plus was introduced in 2014, according to Wikipedia. Shopify’s page calls it a “commerce operating system” and an “all-in-one platform” that can be customised from front end to back end and connected to existing systems through APIs.

Features listed

  • Sales channels: online store, retail point of sale, social and marketplaces, international, B2B and wholesale.
  • Headless commerce with a headless API layer, and a React-based headless stack at no extra cost.
  • Checkout with Shop Pay, and Shopify Functions for promotions.
  • Security, fraud and bot protection, and reporting across stores.

Claims on the page

Over 100 product updates every six months since 2020, 10,000+ checkouts per minute, 99.99% average uptime, activation in over 150 countries, up to 50% better conversion than guest checkout with Shop Pay, and a total cost of ownership averaging 33% better than competitors. These are Shopify’s claims. No Shopify Plus prices were on the page.
